Fastest Growing Careers Are in Healthcare The healthcare industry continues to offer some of the fastest growing careers in the country. If you are looking for a new career where you can make a difference in people's lives, enjoy your work, and possibly make more money, take a look at what Continuing Education at Kennesaw State University can help you achieve in less than one year. Visit our Professional Development area and look under Healthcare. One area of healthcare consistently lacking in enough qualified people to fill vacant positions is the Senior Care Assistant & Certified Nursing Assistant area. As a result, Continuing Education is launching a new and much anticipated CNA program. Wherever there is a need for personal care, Senior Care and Certified Nursing Assistants are the ones who perform the most basic needs for patients, young and old alike. If the idea of making a positive impact in someone's life through extensive daily contact with individual patients sounds like the type of career you will find rewarding, this can be the path for you. Senior Care and Certified Nursing Assistants can be found in nursing homes, hospitals, adult day health centers, assisted living facilities, and even personal homes. You can prepare to become a Georgia state approved Certified Nursing Assistant with this 120-hour program. You will attend 90 hours of thorough classroom and lab practice, with 30 hours of clinical training in premier nursing, assisted living, and independent living properties in Georgia. Uniquely blended throughout each section of the course is the training and expectation of customer service. Initial training offers you the opportunity to begin working and getting paid in a nursing facility within four weeks of the course start as a dining aide or a nursing assistant. Upon completion of the course, you will be prepared to sit for the Georgia state certification exam. Go back to the ConEd eCourier Home Page
