Tuition Assistance (TA) OverviewArmed Forces Tuition Assistance (TA) is a benefit paid to eligible members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Congress has given each service the ability to pay up to 100% for the tuition expenses of its members. Additionally, active duty members may elect to use the MGIB 'top-up' in addition to their service provided TA to cover high cost courses. TA is not a loan; it should be viewed as money you have earned, just like your base pay. This money is usually paid directly to the institution by the individual services. Each service has its own criteria for eligibility, obligated service, application processes, and restrictions. Please review your military branch's respective website for current information. For more in-depth information about TA, please choose one of the links below: Please be aware, Navy and Coast Guard personnel are not permitted to use TA to atend non-credit courses, such as those offered by Continuing Education at Kennesaw State University.
If you have any questions regarding the use of TA at Continuing Education, please contact Colleen Radbill at 770-423-6529 or cradbill@kennesaw.edu. Information on this page was found at www.military.com
