University System Wide Regents’ Writing and Reading Skills Requirement
The Board of Regents is suggesting that the courses RGTR 0198 (Regents Reading Skills), and RGTE 0199 (Regents Writing Skills) be required for all students; however, the requirement may be satisfied by passing the corresponding Regents Test. READ 0020 and ENGL 0020 were discontinued and are being replaced with RGTV 0197, RGTR 0198, and RGTE 0199 (see new courses below).

Board of Regents Program Approval
The Board of Regents authorized the establishment of a major in Information Security and Assurance under the Bachelor of Science at their November 17, 2004 meeting.

To the European Union), HIST 3393 (Emerging Themes in African History), and HIST 4490 (Special Topics Courses as appropriate) were added to the Social Science Education Major Teaching Field.
