Kennesaw State University welcomes all students who want to pursue a college-level program of study and are of good moral character. To be admitted as a regular student, the applicant must provide evidence of a reasonable possibility of academic success if enrolled in college credit courses. Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for admission to degree credit courses will be encouraged to become eligible for full admission through their performance in the Learning Support Program of the University. Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for admission to degree credit courses will be encouraged to become eligible for full admission through their performance in the Learning Support Program (LSP) of the University. You must meet LSP requirements to take LSP courses.


General Application Procedures

To be considered for admission, applicants must complete and return all required forms and credentials to the University by the established deadlines. The following items are required of all applicants:

1. A Completed Application for Admission Forms may be requested from the Admissions Office. All applications received must be accompanied by a nonrefundable $20.00 application processing fee. Checks should be made payable to Kennesaw State University.
2. Official High School and/or College Transcripts - Documents must be mailed directly from the sending institution to the Office of Admissions.
3. For freshmen, official scores on the (a) Scholastic Assessment Test of the College Board - Application forms and other information concerning this test may be obtained from the College Board - Application forms and other information concerning this test may be obtained from the College Entrance Examination Board (Box 6200, Princeton, New Jersey 08541- phone 609-771-7600), high school counselors, the Counseling & Advising Program Services (CAPS) or the Office of Admissions at Kennesaw State University, or b) American College Testing Program - Application forms may be obtained from the American College Testing Program (3355 Lenox Road, NE, Suite 320, Atlanta, Georgia 33026-1332).
4. Valid Immunization Certificate for measles, mumps & rubella.
5. Social Security Number - Applications for social security numbers may be obtained from any United States Post Office.
6. Other Requirements - The University may require any applicant to appear for a personal interview and to take those achievement, assessment, placement and psychological tests it deems appropriate in arriving at a decision regarding the applicant's general qualifications for admission to the University or placement in noncredit courses.

NOTE: Kennesaw State University reserves the right to require additional testing at any time during the enrollment process to determine eligibility or placement.

7. The University reserves the right to withdraw admission prior to or following enrollment if the student becomes ineligible as determined by the standards of the University or Board of Regents.
8. Upon acceptance and prior to enrollment, any student with a disability must notify the University of any special accommodations requiring assistance from KSU. Please contact the coordinator for Disabled Student Services in the Student Development Center at (770) 423-6443. Final acceptance or rejection of each applicant is determined by the director of admissions, subject to the applicant's right of appeal as provided by the bylaws of the University and the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.
