The Telecenter performs research projects through the Office of Admissions. These research projects aim making the Office of Admissions more efficient when serving the students.

DESCRIPTION
• Traditional age high school seniors 1990 - 1991
• College Board Search Mailing of 8111 prospects,
• mailed Fall 1990
• Total replies = 459, for a 5.6% return
• Each received a direct mail borchure
• Three hundred seventeen (317) replies were randomly
• pooled for control and experimental follow-up
• The Experimental Group received all reply mail
• follow-ups and an additional phone call to
• encourage application
• Student volunteers made the telephone calls
OBSERVATIONS
• 100% of the Control Group was reached via U.S mail
• The enrolled percentage of the Experimental Group
• was greater than the Control Group
• The number of applications collected in the Control
• Group was greater than the Experimental Group
NOTE
Traditional age students do not typically consider KSU as their first choice
