Parents of Joint Enrollment Students can help their students succeed by encouraging students to adapt their study strategies to adjust to the differences between college and high school coursework.

Students should expect a great deal more reading, fewer grades and no "daily work," and no in-class reviews before tests. Most students find they need to significantly increase the time they devote to studying. Finally, encourage your student to sample college life by attending a campus event. KSU’s baseball, soccer, basketball and hockey teams offer a great way to sample school spirit. Arts events, concerts and plays and nationally reknowned campus speakers are all available to Joint Enrollment students to round out their academic experience.
