CAREER: I have over twenty years experience in college admissions at Kennesaw State University. During this time the institution has grown from a small, two year institution with enrollment of 5400 to the third largest university in the University System of Georgia, with enrollment of 19,000. I was the admissions office point person for Banner implementation in 1997 and later the imaging system. I remain the lead person in the office for upgrades and testing. Currently I am involved in all areas of admissions including operations (processing/data entry/imaging/workflow), student marketing, human resources, recruitment, budget and management of ‘front office’ operations such as walk-in/telephones/customer service.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: I have served my state (GACRAO) and regional (SACRAO) associations through membership on the Executive Committee, and chairing or serving as member of numerous committees. I have presented for these associations as well as my national association (AACRAO) many times over the last 15 years. I have also been a guest presenter at other associational meetings. Topics have ranged from operational technology such as imaging system, workflow and electronic data push to technology associated with recruitment such as transactional web tools and high school guidance counselor web page. I am currently involved in the University System of Georgia/Georgia Student Finance Commission/Georgia Department of Education project GeorgiaCollege411 for development of online application with XAP and development of electronic transfer of high school transcripts. I am co-editor of the annual ‘Georgia High School Directory’. I have also guest lectured at the undergraduate level in freshman orientation courses.
EDUCATION:
I hold a BBA in Marketing from Kennesaw State University and an MS in Community Counseling from Georgia State University.
