CAREER:
I am a senior level collegiate administrator with three decades of experience and have held successful roles as Dean of Admissions, Director of Admissions and Director of Recruitment in public and private institutions. My expertise focuses on the development of enrollment management strategies for traditional, non-traditional and graduate markets. Currently I am Dean of University Admissions and Enrollment Services at Kennesaw State University, manage a full time staff of thirty, supervise operational and personnel budgets ranging over $1,400,000.00. While at KSU I have assisted in more than 85 terms (quarter and semester) of continued enrollment growth which has made KSU the 3rd largest university in the state of Georgia.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
I have served as the youngest president of my state professional association (GACRAO) and have served on various state Regent committees. During my career I have made over 100 professional presentations at state, regional and national conferences. I have been a CASE faculty member for eight years. In 1985, I was named by Southern Bell as their telemarketing consultant for the college admissions industry. I have published several telecounseling and home school articles in national and regional publications including the College Board's Admissions Strategist , On Target Journal , College and University Journal and CASE Currents magazines. Also, I am a collaborative author contributing a chapter to AACRAO's 1998 , Handbook for the College Admission Profession . Also, I was featured in the Chronicle of Higher Education, have been quoted in the Reader's Digest , USA Today and Delta's Sky Magazine. In June of 1999, I received a Regent's Grant to visit and study the “Troubles in Northern Ireland ”. In the early 1990's I was chair of AACRAO's Task Force on establishing professional certification standards for collegiate enrollment officers. I am the founder and owner of the Collegiate Telemarketing Institute specializing in student recruitment telecounseling techniques. I have conducted private telecounseling workshops from Michigan and New Jersey to California and Florida . In addition, I am the executive editor of the Georgia High School Directory. In 1995, I was named as Kennesaw State 's Administrator of the Year . I also serve as a commissioner on the Accrediting Commission for Independent Study for Home School Education in the State of Georgia and the Georgia Accrediting Commission. The BOR , in fall 2003, recognized KSU Admissions and me with a “ Bench Marking, Best Practices Award” for developing 24/7 Enrollment Management Web Tools. As a follow-up, I was named recipient of the 2004, AACRAO APEX Award for advancing technology in enrollment services. At the 51 st annual state GACRAO meeting I was honored with the association's highest award, “ Distinguished Member and Service Award ” recognizing life time career achievements. Additionally, I have served on the SACRAO Executive Committee as VP for Enrollment Management, Nominations and Elections Committee and Member at Large.

EDUCATION:
I hold an AA degree from Reinhardt College , Masters and Bachelors degree from Georgia Southern University and have attended classes at the University of Georgia and Emory University .

PERSONAL:
I am married with one child. I enjoy calligraphy, history, chess, rock'n- roll music, travel and movies. Additionally, I have authored several historical articles including “The Legend of Chain Gang Hill” and a local historical book now in its second edition entitled, The General, The Great Locomotive Dispute . This is a 100-page book sponsored by several museums. The topic involves the litigation's to recover the famed Civil War locomotive from Tennessee and its rightful return to Georgia.
