Education:

M.S. in Education (Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in higher education administration) – University of Southern California
B.S. in Elementary Education – Grace College

Professional Experience:

I have worked in the exciting field of higher education for over 30 years and have had the privilege of working at two private academic institutions and three public institutions. My higher education career began while I was living in Hawaii when I began working for the University of Southern California and their off-campus graduate program. I served as the liaison between the main campus and 13 study centers located throughout the Pacific Region. I was asked to move to the main campus to serve as director of student services for the entire off-campus graduate program which was located on military bases throughout the US and around the world. These positions provided me with experience in working closely with graduate admissions, academic advising, financial aid, veterans benefits, registration/records, and student accounts. When a new provost decided that USC should not be involved in off-campus education, the graduate program moved to the University of Denver where I became executive director of program services. In addition to oversight of student services, I also worked with textbook ordering, schedules for all locations, contracts with the military and industry as well as working with both state and regional accreditation associations for all the states where we had centers.

In 1990, I moved to Laramie, Wyoming where I became the registrar at the University of Wyoming. For a period of six months in 2000, I also served as interim dean of students. I was responsible for oversight of Greek life, student government, freshmen life activities, student adjustment issues, judicial/disciplinary issues; and the student newspaper. The highlight of that time was serving as advisor for both the student government and the freshman senate.

During the summer of 2001, I became the executive director of enrollment services at the University of Northern Colorado. In this position, I had oversight responsibilities for the admissions office, student financial aid, registrar’s office, career services, orientation and advising of undeclared students, and the disability access center. I’ve been registrar at the University of Georgia since December of 2003.

Personal:

I enjoy reading, quilting, and visiting my family in Indiana.
