Associate Vice President For Enrollment Services
As the chief enrollment officer for a public baccalaureate college with an enrollment of approximately 6200 students, the Associate Vice President reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and serves as a member of the President's senior administrative cabinet. The AVP is responsible for the Office of Admissions, the Office of Financial Aid, the Registrar's Office, Veterans Affairs and Evening Services. The AVP supervises a divisional staff of 28 full-time employees, manages an annual operating budget of approximately $1.5 million and serves as the institutional functional leader for the BANNER student information system.
Primary responsibilities include the establishment of institutional enrollment targets consistent with the academic mission of the college, analyses of pertinent demographic and student enrollment trend data and preparation of enrollment reports for use in institutional planning. The Associate Vice-President provides assistance in the preparation of marketing materials and related promotional strategies. The Associate Vice-President is responsible for structuring enrollment functions to facilitate quality student services. Provides leadership and support to the department heads within the division. Serves as the primary student information system (BANNER) development officer in the areas admissions, student records and financial aid. Monitors work flow and policy compliance within and between offices in the division. Serves as the student appeals officer for unresolved issues involving admissions, financial aid or student records. Serves as the Primary Designated School Officer with the U.S.C.I.S.
To more effectively lead the data intensive, high volume offices within the division of enrollment services the AVP possesses the following BANNER proficiencies.
Proficient (with up-date capabilities) in the following Banner modules: recruitment, admissions, registration, academic history, transfer articulation, Georgia mods, HOPE and financial aid.
Proficient in writing and executing population selections.
Proficient in writing functional logic for complex data conversions, data integrity edits and multi-level reports (application reports for admissions and financial aid, yield reports…)
Proficient in the development of communication plans for recruits, applicants, financial aid applicants, accepted applicants, and students using BANNER and word processing applications.
