Q: Where are you located?
A: Kennesaw, Georgia; 25 miles north of downtown Atlanta in northern Cobb
Cobb County. KSU is situated on 186 acres near I-75 at Chastain Road, Exit 271.

Q: How many students?
A: As of Fall 2002, KSU had a record enrollment of 14,000 undergraduate
and graduate students.
Q: What majors do you offer?
A: We have a variety of majors.
Some of our more popular areas include Nursing, Education and Business.
Q: What is your student/teacher ratio?
A: Approximately 27:1, but you probably want to know how big classes
will be. Typically you have some big lecture classes during your first
two years of general studies (e.g. biology, history) but 80% of our classes
have fewer than 30 students.
Q: Do you accept AP credit?
A: Yes, generally scores of three or better will earn you college credit.
Scores of 4 & 5 usually allow you to earn maximum credit.
Q: How do I apply?
A: Complete an application (online
if you wish), send an official high school transcript, and SAT or ACT scores
and proof of immunization against measles, mumps and rubella. Transfer students
also need to send college transcripts from each institution attended. Letters
of recommendation and interviews are not required. There is a non-refundable
$40 application processing fee if you mail in an application or a $30 application
processing fee if you apply online.
Q: What kind of health care is available?

Q: Do you have soccer?
A: Yes, we have women's soccer, we will be starting Intercollegiate play
in Fall 2002 and we have a coach on campus, his name is Robert

Q: What kinds of organizational activities
does KSU have?
A: There are over 90 different organizations including: student government,
academic honoraries, leadership honoraries, community service groups, cultural
organizations, religious organizations, greeks, political action groups,
environmental groups, interest clubs, activity groups, and sports clubs.
Q: Is orientation mandatory?
Orientation is not mandatory. However, if you are new to Kennesaw State
University, New Student Orientation will help you get a good head start
on your first semester. The Counseling, Advisement and Program Services
(CAPS) Center will mail orientation invitations to all accepted applicants
eligible to attend. Class advisement and explanation of telephone and web registration
procedures are part of orientation.
