Cheryl Anderson Brown
Public Relations Coordinator

Cheryl Anderson Brown first came to the College of the Arts in 1996 to establish the professional Box Office. Since then, she has worked in various capacities with the university, returning to the College of the Arts in 2002. In her new position, she takes a comprehensive approach to public relations—implementing communications and marketing programs to reach all of COTA's "publics," including faculty, students, alumni, community and the media.

Cheryl earned her Master of Arts in Professional Writing at Kennesaw State University; her Bachelor of Arts is from Wesleyan College.

An award-winning writer and editor, Cheryl has worked previously with the nonprofit arts education program MidSummer Macon. She also is active as a creative writing teacher and as a freelance writer. Her work has appeared in Georgia Trend, American Careers Magazine, the Marietta Daily Journal and elsewhere. In the near future, she hopes to publish her first book, "Lost Princess: A Life of Princess Charlotte Augusta of Wales," which she developed during her master's studies at KSU.
