Opera Production
"The Elixir of Love" by Gaetano Donizetti. This opera, first performed in 1832, is as fresh and popular as the day it was first staged. The delightful tale of lovers' quarrels and reconciliations, magic potions and romantic confusions has been given a new twist in this production, set in Civil War Kennesaw. "The Elixir of Love" is comic opera at its best. Sung in English, you will hear the shy Nemorino, who is besotted with beautiful Adina, seek help from Dr. Dulcamara, who has a sure-fire, never fail love potion. Join us for a wonderful evening of opera in this charming production.
