Why Choose the College of the Arts at Kennesaw State?

Because of the Vibrant Arts Environment . . .

The College of the Arts at Kennesaw State is a comprehensive arts program, and the opportunities available to you are truly exceptional. If you are interested in the visual arts, the College is home to three permanent galleries that provide you with both the opportunity to view exhibitions from visiting artists and faculty and to exhibit your own work. We house a permanent collection of more than 500 works of art, including the largest outdoor sculpture collection in the University System of Georgia.  And the new Visual Arts Building features state of the art studio space, including foundry facilities, digital and traditional photography, a full visual reference collection and all the studio space you would expect of a first-class visual arts program.

If music or theater is what drives you, KSU has wonderful facilities and plans for exciting future growth. The 320-seat Stillwell Theater is the current site of multiple performances each year, including plays, spoken word perfomances and full student musical theater and opera productions. The intimate Studio Theater provides a space for you to develop your own work or collaborate with faculty in the creation of new work.

The college also has a state-of-the-art Dance Studio, with a double-sprung floor and audience seating for 100. In 2007, the new Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Center opened; it includes a new 600-seat performance hall, which includes additional rehearsal space and a permanent art museum. The Wilson Annex, opened in Spring 2009, contains state of the art Wenger practice rooms, faculty studios and a brand new black box theater.
