COTA Ticketmasters earn silver in 2009 KSU Owlympics
By Cheryl Anderson Brown
The staff in the College of the Arts emerged with the silver medal at the annual KSU Owlympics for the third year in a row. The team, called "The Ticketmasters," credits its repeated success to its unique pivot turn in the seven-legged race. Pioneered by communication production manager John Curtis, the critical move is based on marching band techniques. Teams of and staff also participated in fun-filled events like a water balloon toss and a sack race on the Campus Green. This year, the gold medal went to "Hammer Toes" of the Office of Admissions and the bronze went to the "Masters of Education" in the Bagwell College. Members of the COTA Ticketmasters were: Mike "The Embezzler" McGehee, Ashley "The Cake" Reeves, Lindsey "The Concert Master" Huether, Mary Elizabeth "The Art Hanger" Watson, Kenyon "The Shop Master" Shiver and David "The Contractor" Daly. Dean "The Professinator" Adams was an honorary team member. |
