Outdoor printmaking demonstration tomorrow
What: Outdoor printmaking demonstration by Drive-By Press
When: 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007
Where: Legacy Gazebo,Kennesaw State University, 1000 Chastain Road, Kennesaw
Who: Printmakers from Drive-By Press will present a demonstration for students and the community.
Why: Drive-By Press is a completely mobile printmaking studio built to promote the growth and democratization of art through printmaking. Drive-By Press gives demonstrations in various printing techniques as well alternative printing methods—guerilla printing. Drive-By travels with a large collection of woodblocks and Intaglio plates from artists Joseph Velasquez and Greg Nanney. Also, they carry blocks from several well-known and established printmakers that have donated their work to support this endeavor. Students will be able to ink up their favorite image and pull the print for themselves.
