KSU Community Alumni Choir performs first concert

The KSU Community Alumni Choir performed its debut concert on Saturday, Nov. 10 in the concert hall of the Bailey Performance Center, as part of Kennesaw State University's annual Homecoming celebration.

The concert featured a variety of songs from around the world. On the second piece, "Gloria" from "Missa Kenya," director Leslie Blackwell accompanied the choir on conga drums. Pianist Sherri Barrett accompanied the rest of the performance, which included "Simple Gifts," "Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel?" and a Brazilian arrangement of Psalm 150.

"This has been a great experience," said Doc Hall (music, 2004). "I'm so glad we got to perform in the new hall."
