Kennesaw State presents Opera Gala 2007

KENNESAW, Ga.—The Department of Music at Kennesaw State University will present “Opera Gala 2007,” a program of arias, duets, trios, and choruses from the world’s greatest operas, at 8 p.m. on Nov. 17 in the Dr. Bailey & Family Performance Center.

The performance features KSU opera students and alumni Katherine Uhle and Kharis Belgrave. Selections will include “La Clemenza di Tito” by Mozart and “Utopia Ltd.” by Gilbert and Sullivan, as well as pieces from “La Boheme” by Puccini and “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” by Rossini. The evening also will include “Gallantry,” a one-act opera by Douglass Moore, among other works.

The performance serves to bring great operatic music to Kennesaw State and to increase the presence of opera in the community. Tickets will be available at the door for $5.  Please call the KSU Box Office at 770-423-6650 for more information.
