COTA honors fall graduates
On December 12, 2008, the Kennesaw State University College of the Arts recognized its fall graduating class. With nearly 50 candidates, it was one of the college's largest fall commencement groups ever.
KSU Professor of History Tom Scott spoke to the graduates in the commencement address, sharing with them the history of the university and inviting them to continue to be involved with the university after graduation.
After Scott’s speech, Lendley C. Black, KSU provost and vice president for academic affairs, presented the candidates for degrees from the College of the Arts, College of Humanities and Social Sciences and University College.

While many COTA students received degrees at this ceremony, still others were also an integral part of the event. Students from the KSU Brass Quintet, conducted by Chair of the Department of Music Paul Davis, played during the prelude and postlude of event. Graduating music student Lauren Larson led the audience in singing the national anthem and KSU’s alma mater. Also, Associate Professor of Theatre Karen Robinson served as the marshal.
