Award-winning graduate returns to perform at KSU

Guitarist Jonathan Dotson will play March 19

The KSU School of Music will welcome back 2003 graduate Jonathan Dotson when he performs in the Bailey Performance Center at 8 p.m. on March 19. This event is free and open to the public.

Dotson has earned numerous prizes in international guitar competitions, including first-place finishes at the Classical Minds Guitar Festival and the Appalachian International Solo Guitar Competition. He is also a founding member of the Texas Guitar Quintet.

After completing his bachelor of music degree at KSU, Dotson earned a master of music degree in performance from the University of Texas at Austin, where he is currently a candidate for the doctorate in performance degree.

The program for Dotson's KSU performance includes works by De Lhoyer, Albeñiz, Bach, Nass, Rodrigo, Reinhardt and Dyens.
