KSU Turkish Student Organization hosts watercolor demonstration
Turkish artist shares techniques and expertise with students

On March 18, the KSU Turkish Student Organization hosted an ebru watercolor demonstration workshop in the Department of Visual Arts. The Turkish-American Islamic Institute sponsored the artist, Ayse Calis (left), for this event.

Jacqueline LaMere (below left) and Emily Pellegrino (below right) were among students from the visual arts, social sciences and early childhood education programs who created their own ebru, an ancient art that originated in China among the Turkoman tribes.
