Starlight Summer Concert Series offers outdoor music events
Series features fireworks, jazz, bluegrass jam sessions and more

KENNESAW, Ga.—Celebrate summer in style with the Starlight Summer Concert Series, presented by the Kennesaw State University College of the Arts. A summertime tradition for more than ten years, the Starlight Series welcomes another slate of performers to its outdoor stages.

All of the events are held on Sunday nights at 7:30 p.m. Admission begins at 6 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring chairs, blankets and picnics. Lawn seating is available for all performances; table reservations are available for the last two events.

Star-Spangled Spectacular featuring Banks & Shane.

As “Atlanta's Entertainment Tradition" for more than 30 years, Banks & Shane bring their own brand of high-energy, good-time music to the Starlight stage. Banks & Shane offer high-spirited renditions of old-time rock n’ roll, folk, bluegrass, and country music.  The evening’s patriotic tribute to our nation’s independence concludes with a fireworks display. This is the only Starlight event to take place on the Campus Green. Admission is free.

Jazz Orchestra Atlanta featuring Marcus Printup

Jazz Orchestra Atlanta is dedicated to supporting jazz music through music education and professional performances throughout the metro Atlanta area.  The evening will feature the musical stylings of Conyers native Marcus Printup, famed trumpeter and a member of Wynton Marsalis’ Jazz @ Lincoln Center Orchestra since 1993. This event will take place at the Legacy Gazebo Amphitheater. Tickets are $8; table reservations for six are $75. Click to order tickets or tables.

Steep Canyon Rangers. The Steep Canyon Rangers’ dedication to bluegrass is heard in every note they play. With a sound rooted in bluegrass tradition, they draw musical elements from Honky-tonk, classic country, bluegrass and blues. Hailing from Asheville, N.C., the Rangers have built a reputation as one of the emerging stars of the bluegrass scene. This event will take place at the Legacy Gazebo Amphitheater. The night kicks off with a bluegrass jam session at 5:30 p.m.; pickers and fiddlers of all ages are invited to participate. Free concert admission to those who come early and sit in with an instrument. Tickets for those not participating in the jam session are $8; table reservations for six are $75. Table reservations are available for parties up to six. Tables are $75. Table reservations must be made at least one week in advance. Reservations are only available for events at the Legacy Gazebo Amphitheater.
