Seven members of K.I.S.S. (Kennesaw Improv Society, Stupid!) will compete as a team at the Chicago Improv Festival's College Improv Tournament regional competition at Relapse Theater in Atlanta on Nov. 20. The group is a registered student organization at Kennesaw State University that performs improvisational comedy.
The KSU team will perform in the preliminary round at 2 p.m. and, if they advance, would compete in the final round at 11 p.m. Admission for the 2 p.m. performance is $10 and the 8 p.m. performance is $15, with discounts available for students. For ticket information, call Relapse Theater at 404-343-0347.
The students on the KSU team are Zach Bromberg, Michael Butler, Ralph del Rosario, Sean Haley, Elizabeth Jarrett, Dylan Schettina and Patrick Schweigert.
The winning team will compete at the nationals in Chicago on Feb. 26.
UPDATE: The K.I.S.S. team earned a wild card slot in the final round, but did not advance to the nationals. K.I.S.S. president Michael Butler said, "For such a young team facing some really good teams, we were honored to compete and have fun."
