Music student wins young artists competition
Two other KSU students also make the semifinals

Music performance major Jonathan Urizar recently won first place in the virtuoso category of the First Annual Georgia Philharmonic Young Artists Concerto Competition. As a competition winner, he was invited to perform on the philharmonic's showcase on Jan. 29. He performed Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor. Urizar is a violin student of Assistant Professor Helen Kim.
KSU cello students Rachel Halverson and Avery McCoy were semifinalists in the competition.
