KSU music students participate in service learning
Events hosted at MUST Ministries and Gaines Park Assisted Living
Barbara Hammond, program coordinator for music education, recently traveled with Kennesaw State University music education students from her Learning and Assessment course to MUST Ministries and Gaines Park Assisted Living to conduct service-learning projects. As part of the project, students performed for members of both communities.
"Music education is much more than what goes on within the walls of a school," Hammond explains. "Through service-learning experiences, I hope the students come to a deeper understanding of lifelong and accessible music for all."
