The Georgia Symphony Orchestra will present "A musical feast" at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, at Kennesaw State University's Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Center.
The concert will feature guest pianist Martina Filjak and baritone Jesse Blumberg. Filjak, the 2009 Cleveland International Piano Competition winner, will perform Johannes Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1. Blumberg will join the GSO Chorus for William Walton's oratorio, "Belshazzar's Feast," a tale of excess and divine wrath at the court of Babylon.
For six decades, the Georgia Symphony Orchestra has maintained a record of artistic excellence through critically acclaimed performances that feature dedicated professional musicians. The GSO is directed by Michael Alexander, who is also the director of orchestras at Kennesaw State University.
Tickets for the concert are available on the GSO website.
