Tony Award-winning actor Shuler Hensley, who is currently serving as an artist-in-residence in KSU's College of the Arts, has another prestigious honor to his name. Hensley was recently awarded "Stage Performance of the Year" by New York Magazine, in recognition of his performance in Playwrights Horizons' production of "The Whale."

Hensley has also received Broadway's "Triple Crown" of the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Circle awards. As artist-in-residence, Hensley plans to introduce luminaries of musical theater, film, dance, classical music — all the art forms — to performing arts students, as well as teach a series of workshops for students over the coming months.
