A Presidential Exhibition
More than one president attended the preview reception for the “Christmas Card and Gift Print Exhibition of the White House and Robert Woodruff Collection” on Dec. 12. Russell Clayton (center), who loaned his collection for the exhibition, introduced Mark Meredith, president of the Wheeler High School Student Council, to Betty L. Siegel, president of Kennesaw State University.

Briefs:
• T&PS alumna Karen Wurl, along with Sam Shepard and Lee Blessing, has had one of her plays selected for the Essential Theatre Festival in Atlanta this month.
• COTA has received a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to mount an exhibition of works by French-Chinese artist Chen Zhen.
• Share, the student art and literary magazine, was honored in the national "Best of College Design" awards sponsored by HOW magazine. Arts major Laura Patti was the lead designer.

Contemporary French artists transform perception
Three post-modern artists who subvert traditional approaches to painting, sculpture, photography and film to create works that explore the roots of emotional, spatial and visual perception by manipulating the physical qualities of materials will be featured in The Year of France exhibition opening later this month at Kennesaw State.

Festival Celebrates Storytelling for Young and Old
Long before movies and television, storytelling was the medium through which people shared their culture and history. Even today, this ancient art form continues to fascinate and to attract growing audiences as evidenced by the Annual Winter Storytelling Festival which will take place at Kennesaw State University, Jan. 28-30.

The College of the Arts at Kennesaw State University is poised to celebrate its 4th Annual Benefit Gala in the Egyptian Ballroom at The Fabulous Fox in Atlanta on March 19, 2005. Once again, the gala will be an elegant evening of dinner, dancing and silent/live auction to benefit
student scholarships and student-learning initiatives.
