Moses First 20 Years
Associate Professor of Music Laurence Sherr congratulated Professor of Music Oral Moses at a reception honoring Moses for 20 years of teaching at Kennesaw State. The reception followed Moses annual recital on Feb. 13 in Stillwell Theater. The audience offered several standing ovations, including one in the middle of the concert for Ol Man River. - Visual Arts Professor Sandra Bird has been awarded an $8,000 KSU incentive grant to develop teaching materials about the Middle East for K-12.

- Theatre alum Margot Potter has written a book, "The Impatient Beader," which will be published by North Light Books next year.

Visual Arts Opens Doors
Recent campus visitors have noticed sculptures mushrooming across campus. From the cautionary animal shapes posted like road signs to the black metal wheels "rolling" on the lawn in front of the Wilson Building, a plethora of outdoor sculptures have been installed this month to welcome two very special groups to campus.
COTA Receives First NEA Grant
The College of the Arts recently was notified that it will receive its first grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The $10,000 grant was successfully solicited by KSU Director of Galleries Roberta Griffin and Associate Professor of Theatre Ming Chen to support an art exhibition of works by the late Chen Zhen.
Former Professor Passes Away
Stage and television veteran Jason Byce, who taught as an adjunct professor of musical theatre at Kennesaw State University, succumbed to multiple myeloma on Feb. 12 at Piedmont Hospital.
