Kids Can Sing Their Hearts Out At KSU

The Georgia Young Singers of Kennesaw State University is looking for young people, ages 8-18, who love to sing. Auditions will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Marietta, 4-7 p.m. on August 12. All levels of singers are welcome. Call 678-290-9542 to schedule an audition time.

Although the Georgia Young Singers performs throughout the region and abroad, the group is one of the resident ensembles of the Kennesaw State College of the Arts.

“We are very pleased to be associated with this fine organization for children,” said KSU Arts Dean Joseph Meeks. “The success of this relationship has inspired us to begin exploring other opportunities for children’s arts programming at Kennesaw State. We hope more and more parents will come to realize that music, theatre, dance, and visual arts programs can provide valuable leadership, team-building and learning experiences for their children.”

The Georgia Young Singers offers a Tour Choir, Concert Choir and Preparatory Choir, all under the direction of Alyssa Coble. Founded in 1978, the Georgia Young Singers will celebrate its 25th anniversary this season with concerts and special performances throughout the metro Atlanta area and elsewhere.
