Atlanta Chamber Players Perform Monday

Paula Peace

The Department of Music at Kennesaw State University will present the Atlanta Chamber Players in performance featuring works of German romanticist, Johannes Brahms, and French composer, Maurice Ravel, in Stillwell Theater at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28.

The ensemble, whose ongoing residency at Kennesaw State has contributed to a growing chamber music program at the university, will perform two lyrical and haunting masterpieces, Brahms’ dramatic composition for piano and string trio, "Piano Quartet in A Major" and Ravel’s rhythmic 1903 work, "String Quartet in F Major."

“This program is abundant in that magical quality of chamber music—grace,” said Paula Peace, artistic director and pianist for the ensemble.

For this concert, the ACP’s core group of pianist Paula Peace, violinist Christopher Pulgram and cellist Brad Ritchie will be joined by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Kenn Wagner on violin and Catherine Lynn on viola.

Tickets for the event are $10. Faculty, staff and student discounts are available. For reservations, call 770-423-6650. To learn more about the ACP, visit www.atlantachamberplayers.com.
