Artist's Notes:

One of the first Blood Works pictures I created. I rendered the plant structures in a faux naïf drawing style because I wanted to convey a sense of innocence amongst the peril. 

A bouquet of brilliant, sensitive, eccentric iconoclasts. It is a group portrait of my closest circle of friends, including myself, engaged in the usual activities of friendship: pettiness, gossip, backstabbing, hurting one another, etc.

Someone recently suggested that, since organized religion has failed us, society should look to artists for role models. This is preposterous! Artists very seldom live tidy lives, especially the talented ones.
