Robert Sherer is an internationally exhibiting artist and KSU professor. In 2006, he received the College of the Arts Distinguished Scholarship Award, the KSU Distinguished Scholarship Award, and the prestigious KSU Foundation Prize for this series of artworks. Blood Works is the subject of an upcoming documentary film and an art book to be published by the KSU Press in the spring of 2008. The artworks use floral imagery and unconventional media to address serious issues surrounding this global epidemic.
