Artist's Notes:

In Greek mythology, Narcissus was a handsome but selfish hero who rejected the love of others and was, therefore, cursed by the gods to fall in love with his own reflection. He refused to eat or sleep or do anything but stare at his own image. He reportedly wasted away gazing into the deep waters of selfhood. When they searched for him, only the narcissus flower was found growing by the edge of the pond.

In psychology, it is called Narcissistic Personality Disorder. In this picture, it is a matter of self-portraiture because I painted it in my own blood to underscore the subject.
