Kennesaw State University College of the Arts is pleased to offer limited edition prints in honor of Black History Month Antebellum Classicism by international artist, Alabama native and KSU professor Robert Sherer
These beautiful limited edition prints are available for only $50 through the end of February 2009. This is an 80% discount off the usual price. All proceeds benefit student scholarships. In this beautiful piece, Robert Sherer explores his Southern heritage by drawing the column top of a pre-Civil War plantation house, but, instead of the usual icanthus leaves, he shows the seven major crops of the slave economy. In the original work (available for bid online), the artist used blood drawn from African American volunteers (including some KSU professors) to create his ink. No blood was used for the prints.
