Melanie Dobbins graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. After graduation, she began working full time with the College of the Arts. Melanie works for the dean to effectively plan, schedule and coordinate all College of the Arts sponsored special events and the performance series. She, along with the College of the Arts staff serve as advocates for the arts both within and outside the university by facilitating fundraising events, community partnerships and performances of nationally renowned artists.
Outside the office, Melanie continues to dwell in the world of the arts. She frequently performs around the community singing jazz ensembles with fellow local musicians for festivals, corporate and private engagements. Melanie also is a member of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, the Georgia Presenters Consortia and the Georgia Council for the Arts Presenters Grant Review Panel.
