Transfer Admissions

Students who are considering transferring to Kennesaw State University's College of

the Arts must first apply to KSU. Transfer credit for all previous coursework is evaluated at the time of application.

Theatre & Performance Studies

Transfer students who wish to be accepted into the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies must designate their desired degree program on KSU's standard application for admission.

When filling out the application select "Theatre" in item 13, "Select a Major/Program.

Visual Arts

Step 1

Transfer students who wish to be accepted into the Department of Visual Arts must designate their desired degree program on KSU's standard application for admission.

When filling out the application select "Art" in item 13, "Select a Major/Program."

Step 2

After being accepted to KSU, transfer students must submit a Supplemental Application for the Department of Visual Arts directly to the College of the Arts. To download the PDF from the Application Procedures webpage, click on the "Visual Arts Admissions Application" link.

Step 3

Finally, visual arts transfer students must submit a portfolio of representative work to be reviewed by the faculty. Guidelines regarding the portfolio can be found on the Portfolio Submission Guidelines webpage. This portfolio will be used to determine that previous coursework is equivalent to KSU requirements.

Transfer students who are unable to submit a portfolio for review cannot be admitted directly into a degree program in the Department of Visual Arts. It is possible, however, for a student to be admitted to KSU as an undeclared art interest student. The student can then take coursework to help complete a portfolio for admission in a subsequent term.
