Welcome

to the College of the Arts

at Kennesaw State University!

Welcome to the College of the Arts at Kennesaw State University! I am thrilled to be serving as the new Dean at such an exciting time. The minute I stepped foot on this campus, I could feel the energy and passion for the arts.

As you walk through the arts district and the hallways of our classrooms, you can feel the energy. It resonates through Stillwell Theatre as students rehearse for the next play or dance concert. It vibrates through the Bailey Performance Center as students tune up for their next musical performance. And it rips through blank walls, allowing visitors to experience art exhibitions in a totally new way.

Even as we look to celebrate the arts in new ways, the 2013-2014 year at Kennesaw State will be an historic one. This year, we’re celebrating our 50th anniversary; the charter for KSU was established in 1963. Museums, Archives, and Rare Books is opening the Zuckerman Museum of Art, the first Georgia museum to open in 30 years.  This signature museum will further distinguish our arts district and provide a springboard for future success.

Our nationally accredited and distinguished programs in Art and Design, Dance, Music, and Theatre and Performance Studies continue to grow through our dedicated, professional faculty and staff who are totally committed to the success of our students. Our students are engaged with working professionals through strategic partnerships in metro Atlanta and in the state of Georgia as a whole. Many of our students study overseas through our many unique global engagement programs.

We invite you to visit our campus, experience our rich traditions of innovation, and become a part of our thriving community of celebrated scholars and artists.
