The Academic Support Committee of the KSU Athletics Board
Purpose
The purpose of the Academic Support Committee (ASC) is to review and assess
the effectiveness of the academic support provided for intercollegiate
student-athletes at Kennesaw State University. The Committee is also charged
with recommending policies relating to academic support to the full
Athletics Board, and with advocating for investment in this area.
Regular Activity
The ASC will complete case-study reviews of the academic support provided
for at least two KSU teams each year, and will report its finding to the
Executive Committee of the Athletics Board. Every third year, beginning in
2008-2009 it will produce a comprehensive review and assessment of the
academic support provided KSU student-athletes, which will be shared with the
full Athletics Board and will provide the basis for the mandatory report to
the NCAA.
Frequency of Meeting
The ASC will meet at least once per semester.
