The Year of Atlantic World
Logo is meant to be evocative of the sails of a ship.
The sails are all triangles to represent the importance
of the triangular slave trade in the
construction of an Atlantic World. Finally, the cloth
swatches filling the sails come from the many different
cultures around the Atlantic and are meant to
communicate the idea of complexity in weaving together
the many peoples, cultures, and narratives of the
region. |
