The mission of the Office of Budget & Sponsored Operations is to support the instruction, research, and public service goals of Kennesaw State University.
The Office of Budget & Sponsored Operations is available for advising and/or referring to appropriate University officials on matters relating to Federal and State laws, Board of Regents, as well as University rules, regulations, and policies pertaining to fiscal management of contracts and grants. The office is responsible for insuring that the business interests of the University are protected throughout the operation of such agreements. In addition, the office helps to ensure that the University complies with all provisions of contracts and grants, or agreements entered into with outside companies or agencies.
The office is responsible for maintaining auditable records in support of direct and indirect charges to contracts and grants, as well as for preparing and filing fiscal reports required by grantor agencies or companies. The Office of Budget & Sponsored Operations is responsible for billing and collecting costs incurred on cost reimbursement contracts, and for requesting funds relating to said contracts.
