Culinary Services and Sodexo
to Host Hiring Fair for The Commons

On June 23, 2009, Sodexo and Culinary Services will host a final hiring fair for The Commons – Student Culinary Center. The event will take place in the Student Center Food Court and will run from 8:00am to 5:00pm. All job candidates are urged to bring a resume and come prepared for on-site interviews. We will be hiring for the following positions:

  • Grill Cook
  • Prep Cook
  • Short Order Cook
  • Sandwich Artist
  • Pizza Maker
  • Dishwasher
  • Dining Room Attendant
  • Greeter
  • Line Server
  • Barista
  • Baker
  • Receiver/Stoker

A total of approximately 100 part- and full-time positions are available, and pay varies depending upon position and experience level. Benefits available to full-time employees (32+ hrs/wk) include health care, dental, paid time off, sick time, holiday pay and 401(k).

The Commons to Offer Discounted Pricing
During Soft Opening

Everyone is invited to stop by The Commons during the August 14 – 16 soft opening weekend to enjoy a great meal at a discounted retail price. This will be a great opportunity to “test out” the new building (and food!) before the influx of students on Monday morning. Come enjoy the discounted price of $7.75 +tax for an all-you-care-to-eat lunch or dinner on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Our regular retail pricing is $8.49 +tax for lunch and $11.39 +tax for dinner. We hope to see you there!

Group Rates Available at The Commons

Culinary Services is pleased to announce the introduction of a group rate for The Commons. This convenient, all-you-care-to-eat facility is a great solution for groups of visitors, prospective students, lunch meetings, and more! Pre-arrange your visit for a group of 15 or more with the Culinary Services office at least two weeks in advance and enjoy the great low rate of $7.75 +tax per person.
