Refund Team Hits One Out of Park

The arrival of the long awaited EdAmerica loan funds stirred a flurry of activity in the Financial Services group on Friday, September 5. After receiving authorization from the Financial Aid Office to release the funds to students, the Bursar’s Office effectively initiated the processes to post refunds to the students’ accounts and distribute reports to Business Services and HigherOne. Business Services responded promptly by transferring the funds to HigherOne who then distributed the funds according to our students chosen method of delivery. As a result, $4.1 million was successfully distributed to students KSU Debit Cards by the close of business; however, we have grown accustomed to expecting this type of result – on August 26, $11.1 million was distributed with the same sense of urgency. Excellent work team – This is truly an example of where we meet the 'Faster, Friendlier, Easier' initiative!
