Workshops & Other Events
On Friday and Saturday, October 5th & 6th, 2012, the Center for African & Afican Diaspora Studies at Kennesaw State University will host its inaugural "Teach Africa" workshop. KSU is pleased to offer this workshop in response to the great demand for new, accurate and updated resources on Africa. By necessity, the subject matter is multi-disciplinary and will cover materials of special interest to all teachers in K-12, but most especially teachers who teach courses with Humanities and Social Sciences contents. The workshop will be held at the KSU Center, located at 3333 George Busbee Drive, Kennesaw, Georgia.
This workshop will provide teachers with ready-to-use cutting-edge, multi-disciplinary resources, including innovative pedagogical strategies that complements and enhances school curriculum, simulation techniques that demonstrate how students can experience a hands-on approach to problem solving, critical thinking and long-term content retention. The experience will be productive, meaningful, and useful to both teachers and their students.
