Title:

The International James Baldwin Society: History and Teaching Practices

Abstract of each Presenter:
  1. Dr. Rosa Bobia will talk about the creation of James Baldwin Society, building its membership, outreach and potential, and the effects on contemporary issues of race and identity.
  2. Dr. Oral Moses will share Go Tell It On the Mountain and The Amen Corner to create and develop a syllabus to teach a music course entitled “Survey of African and African American Music.”
  3. Dr. Army Lester and Dr. Ardith Peters use The Evidence of Things Not Seen in their lecture classes.
