We strongly encourage you to arrive early to have your student ID made. Bring a valid government-issued document and a copy of it; that includes a photo for identity verification. Accepted documents include:1)a state driver's license, 2)US passport, 3)US Military ID, 4)Homeland Security ID or 5) Foreign passport with a homeland security stamp.
Students are required to stay for the entire orientation session in order to register for classes.
Read Carefully and scroll down for the sign-up page link below In order to reserve your orientation session you must sign-up and pay in advance. You will have the option to pay your orientation fee on-line. Using this option will expedite the processing of your reservation. If you choose to pay by mail or by bringing your orientation fee to the CAPS Center, print your confirmation page (which you will find when signing-up for orientation) and return it to the following address with a check or money-order made payable to Kennesaw State University. Be sure to include the date you plan to attend and your KSU Student ID number on your check. Your payment must be received five days before your scheduled orientation session.

Kennesaw, GA 30144The registration system will be open for transfer orientation participants at their session. If your admission file is complete, and you know the courses you want to register for, you will have the option to register for them. You will also have the opportunity to change or add to your class schedule during the the phase of "Late Registration/Drop Add". Be sure to bring a copy of your transfer evaluation or copies of your transcripts or grade reports with you for reference. We cannot guarantee that your prior course work will have been evaluated for transfer credit.

Scroll down and click on Owl Express on the menu on the left Enter your User ID (student ID # from your acceptance letter) and your PIN # (six-digit birth date, ex June 6, 1985 = 060685) Click on Orientation / COMPASS testing.

Each of our colleges has agreed to provide the following services for you at orientation:College of Education: Advisors from the Impey Teacher Education Advisement Center and faculty from Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, and Social Science Education will be available at orientation to advise transfer students regarding course selection and scheduling for the first semester. Students are encouraged to call the Impey Teacher Education Advisement Center at 770-423-6105 regarding pre-orientation advisement appointments. College of Humanities and Social Science: At Orientation, the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences will greet and welcome you and other transfer students to Kennesaw State University . Faculty members from each major the College offers will also be present. You can meet with the faculty member representing your major and receive:
answers to questions about the degree requirements for the major at KSU and how they may differ from your previous college or university information about career options for which the major prepares you an evaluation of your transcript assistance with the registration processNote: our ability to evaluate your transcript prior to the advisement part of the orientation process will help ensure that you register for the courses you need to complete all degree requirements in a timely manner. Thus, even if you have already sent copies of your transcript to the Registrar's Office, in order to allow time for evaluation of your transcript, please send copies to the department housing your major at least one week prior to the session. Clearly mark the envelope: Attention: Advisor for (your major).

College of Business: Advisors from The Coles College of Business will be available at orientation to advise students regarding course selection and scheduling for the first semester. The advising session includes a presentation of the program requirements, an explanation of the sophomore GPA requirement, as well as an explanation of the requirements for admission into the professional program. A degree requirement handbook as well as other program handouts will be provided. There will be a question and answer session, and students will receive help with schedule building and registration.
More precise answers to your questions and concerns about what courses you will need to take at KSU and Coles College can be provided if you visit the advising center in the Burruss Building, Room 239 several days prior to your scheduled orientation. You may call the advising center at 770-423-6055 and we will be happy to share the advising schedule with you. Please bring the transcripts from your prior college(s) for review. Department of Music
Application for admission to all music degree programs at Kennesaw State University is made in addition to, and simultaneously with, the application for admission to KSU. Students who wish to transfer into the Department of Music from another institution follow the same admissions procedure as all new students. Transfer students are placed at an academic level in their principal area of applied concentration based upon the transferable amount of study earned at other institutions and the performance level demonstrated at the audition. Transfer credit for all course work is evaluated at the time of application. An application for admission and a portfolio review is required for all visual art degree programs at Kennesaw State University in addition to, and simultaneously with, the application for admission to KSU. When students have completed a sufficient number of studio courses a second portfolio must be submitted for review to the desired concentration area. Students are admitted to concentration areas based on the number of spaces available and the quality of the student work. CAPS Center: As an Undeclared/Exploratory Major you are invited to come to the CAPS Center for academic advising prior to attending the Transfer Student Orientation. If possible, please bring an unofficial copy of the transcript from your previous institution(s). Call the CAPS Center at (770) 423-6600 for an appointment. Advisors will be available at Transfer Orientation; however, you are strongly encouraged to come in for advising prior to orientation so that we can provide individual advisement.
