Compass Exam

Kennesaw State University requires certain admitted students to be administered the COMPASS (placement exam) as outlined by the Admissions Office. The purpose of COMPASS is to determine the specific requirements for remediation in Reading, English, and Mathematics. Students who exempt all Learning Support requirements as a result of satisfactory performance on COMPASS will be granted full admission, or provisional, whichever is applicable.

Students whose scores fall below the state minimum required on COMPASS will be admitted as Learning Support students. These students will be required to take remedial courses in Reading, English, and/or Mathematics, depending on their scores. A student's score and requirement(s) by the Admission Office will appear in their student record, within 24-48 hours of testing. Students must satisfy testing requirements before registering for orientation.

In order to take COMPASS you MUST have applied and have been accepted to Kennesaw State University, and you MUST be required by the Office of Admissions to take COMPASS.
