PURPOSE: To earn a degree from any unit in the University System of Georgia, students must satisfy the US & GA History Legislative requirement, demonstrating that they have a basic understanding of the history of the United States and the state of Georgia. This requirement is met by taking HIST 2112 at any University System of Georgia institution.
ELIGIBILITY: Kennesaw State University Second Baccalaureate students who need to satisfy the US & GA Legislative Requirement are eligible to take the exam. Students who have not earned a previous degree are ineligible to take the exemption exam.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES: Students must register for the exam in person. Download the registration form, fill it out and return it, in person to the CAPS Center (Kennesaw. Hall, Room 2401) Register Early! Space is limited!
EXAM INFORMATION: At check-in you must present an official photo ID. You will have 1½ hour to answer 100 multiple-choice questions regarding US & GA History. You must answer 50 questions correctly to satisfy the requirement.
FEE: No cost.
