The Society for the Teaching of Psychology
(STP), the National Institute on the Teaching of Psychology (NITOP),
and the Kennesaw State University Center for Excellence in Teaching
and Learning (CETL) are excited to announce the 6th conference in
the popular "Best Practices in Teaching Psychology" series,
which started in 2002.
The 2007 conference will focus on innovative
and effective strategies to start off the major (e.g., the introductory
course, a careers course, psychology-specific orientation program)
and to bring closure to the major (e.g., a specially designed capstone
course or experience; a senior seminar; a history and systems course;
research or applied internship/practicum). Modeled after the format
of the previous conferences, the conference will include keynote speakers,
concurrent symposia and workshops, and poster sessions. Our target
audience includes teachers from high school, 2-year and 4-year college/university
settings.
