ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP, Division 2 of APA is excited to announce the 7th conference in the popular "Best Practices in Teaching Psychology" series, which started in 2002. The 2008 conference will focus on innovative and effective techniques that use technology to impact student learning. Our target audience includes teachers from high school, 2-year, and 4-year college/university settings.

CALL FOR POSTERS
We are still accepting additional poster proposals on topics related to the conference topic. Please submit the poster title (max of 10 words) and a list of all presenters/authors (full name, affiliation, address, and e-mail for each), and 100 word or less description to Bill Hill (bhill@kennesaw.edu). Registration Deadline: Friday, September 26, 2008
The registration fee includes all refreshments and meals during the conference (2 lunches, continental breakfast, dinner, breaks, and receptions, including 2 free drinks) and conference materials. Faculty who are members of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (Division 2 of the American Psychological Association) can take advantage of a special pre-registration fee of $190. If you are not a STP member, the registration fee for college and university faculty is $220 for individuals, with a special team registration rate for two or more participants from the same institution of $190 each. HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS, COMMUNITY COLLEGE FACULTY, GRADUATE STUDENTS, AND ADJUNCT FACULTY ARE INVITED TO ATTEND AT A SPECIAL CONFERENCE RATE OF $185. The fee after September 26, 2008 is $245 for all participants, which is on a SPACE AVAILABLE basis. REFUND POLICY: A full refund is available with notification of cancellation by 5:00PM on Monday, September 29, 2008, with no refund after that date.

3. At this point you will select the payment method. Click on the “View Details” button next to “Best Practices 2008: Getting Connected” with the prices $185-220. On the next page, select your registration category and then click on “add to cart.”
4. Complete the registration form and questions on the next page you will see and follow the prompts to pay.

Lodging
Conference sessions and lodging will be at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta-Perimeter NW Hotel, located at 6345 Powers Ferry Road off I-285 at Exit 22, which is one exit east of the junction of I-75 and I-285. Rooms are available at a special conference rate of $97 (single or double). To make a room reservation, call 770-955-1700 and ask for the Best Practices Conference rate (group code - BPC) at the ATLANTA-PERIMETER NW. We CANNOT guarantee room availability at the conference rate after September 4, 2008, so make your reservations early!

Flying:
If flying into Atlanta, from the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport there are several options for reaching the conference hotel. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING A TAXI DIRECTLY FROM THE AIRPORT BECAUSE OF THE DISTANCE AND HIGH COST.

You can take the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit System (MARTA) directly from the airport to the Dunwoody (Perimeter Mall) station. The hotel offers a free shuttle service at specific times to and from this station. PLEASE CONTACT THE HOTEL IN ADVANCE TO COORDINATE ARRIVAL TIMES WITH THEIR SHUTTLE AND RESERVE A SPACE ON THE SHUTTLE TO OR FROM THE MARTA STATION.
